We are seeking a Hospice Aide/CNA to join our team in the Grand Junction, CO area. Job duties of this rewarding position include:
- Providing hands on personal care, including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, changing bed linens, assisting with dressing/undressing, skin care, assisting with toileting activities
- Assisting in feeding the patient, if necessary
- Taking and recording temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered
- Assisting in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care
- Assisting in the self-administration of medication
- Meeting safety needs of patients
- Reporting on patient’s condition to the assigned nurse
Ideal candidates should have the following qualifications:
- 2 years experience as a CNA or Home Health Aide
- Successful completion of a training program and competency evaluation
- CNA certification in good standing with the state of Colorado
- At least 18 years of age
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Current CPR certification
- Licensed driver with automobile that is insured and in good working order
Salary range: $15-$17.37/hour
